How I Met Some of my New Neighbours….
Thursday the 27′th of October, ‘The Albert Games’
I devised an event on the sidewalk of Albert drive, it took inspiration from the Olympic Games and children’s playgrounds. I created jumping contests, bubble blowing competitions, and silly string shoot-outs. Each of the players achievements were documented and at the end of the ‘Albert Games’ at 5PM on Thursday and the winners were awarded tin foil metals.
Friday the 28′th of October, ‘I’m trying to meet my neighbour’
I sat from 11AM-5PM offering invitations to passer by’s to come and have a chat. I met policemen, shop owners, people who just moved in, people who moved out a long time ago, people that wished they lived closer, poeple who wished they lived further, kids, teenagers, adults, mums, dads, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, grandparents, it seems during my time on Albert drive the constant was the kindness of the strangers who lived on it.
